Confey Parish 30th Anniversary photo of students and senior citizens

As part of the activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Confey Parish the school organised a Christmas Party for senior citizens. The party was held in the Community Centre on the 11th December 2014. The Transition Year students decorated the room, prepared the food, organised spot prizes and served on the day.

The student entertainment was provided by Transition Year students and the First Year Choir. Approximately 15 senior citizens were guests on the day. It was a wonderful event and enjoyed by students, teachers and guests.

It really was a wonderful morning. The school went to a lot of trouble and effort in organising the event. The entertainment was great, and at the end some members of the parish and teachers joined the First Year Choir in singing a few Christmas carols. It was a privilege to have been there” said Derek Christian, Confey College Parents’ Council.

Thanks to Derek Christian (Parents’ Council) and Ms R Power (TY Coordinator) for organising on behalf of the parish and the school. Thanks to Ms E Barry, Mr T McDonald and Ms G O’Connor. Thanks to Ms D Downey and John Ryan for music and MC.

Thanks also to Leixlip Community Centre
